GEORGIA MUSIC EVENTS Steve Vai live @ Cox Capital Theatre in Macon, Georgia Nov 28 @ 7pm

While many musicians fit easily into a single category, Steve Vai’s unique musical vision remains unclassifiable. After more than 20 years, Vai continues to use unbridled guitar virtuosity and soulful artistry to explore the spectrum of human emotion.

From his self-released solo debut “Flex-Able” (1984) to his most recent “Alive In An Ultra World” (2001, Epic), Vai creates a sound all his own by striking a balance between technical ability and poetic phrasing. “I make music to push my own buttons,” explains Vai. “I’ve always been driven by an addiction to create sounds that are unique – not better than what other people do, just different.” … More GEORGIA MUSIC EVENTS Steve Vai live @ Cox Capital Theatre in Macon, Georgia Nov 28 @ 7pm

Georgia Music Events – JJ Grey Live at Georgia Theatre – Friday, Nov 11 @ 7pm

Grey delivers his songs with compassion and a relentless honesty, but perhaps not until Ol’ Glory has a studio record captured the fierceness and intimacy that defines a Grey live performance. “I wanted that crucial lived-in feel,” Grey says of Ol’ Glory, and here he hits his mark. On the new album, Grey and his current Mofro lineup offer grace and groove in equal measure, with an easygoing quality to the production that makes those beautiful muscular drum-breaks sound as though the band has set up in your living room. … More Georgia Music Events – JJ Grey Live at Georgia Theatre – Friday, Nov 11 @ 7pm

Georgia Music Events – Mother’s Finest SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2016 – 7:30 PM at MILL TOWN MUSIC HALL in Breman

Mother’s Finest is a funk rock band founded in Atlanta, Georgia by Joyce Kennedy and Glenn Murdock in the early 1970s.

Many fans have described their funky vibrations as a blend of funky rhythm, heavy guitars and expressive R&B singing. Their debut album Mother’s Finest from 1976 today is a rare collector’s piece and contained with the ironic song “Nigizz Can’t Sing Rock’n Roll”. The band was highly criticized for it by an important religious leader and dropped it from their live concerts.

Forsyth Historic Train Festival – November 5th @ 10:00am featuring Female Artist of the Year FINALIST Kaleigh Courson

Forsyth’s Historic Train Festival began in 2013 as the 175th Year Celebration of rail in Forsyth. With just a few vendors, a model train exhibit, a children’s art show, and a couple of bounce houses for the kid’s, the festival was a hit with the community. It then became clear to the Monroe County Historical Society this festival had the potential to fulfill a need for Forsyth and Monroe County, as a year end festival that would celebrate the community’s past.

Kaleigh Courson is a Country Music singer-songwriter from Macon, Georgia who has a deep passion for writing and performing. She is the Female Artist of the Year FINALIST for the Georgia Country Music Awards and will be performing November 6th at the Crazy Bull in Macon, Georgia. … More Forsyth Historic Train Festival – November 5th @ 10:00am featuring Female Artist of the Year FINALIST Kaleigh Courson

LIVE GEORGIA Music – The Tabernacle, also nicknamed The Tabby featuring the Drive-By Truckers formed in Athens, Georgia

Drive-By Truckers have always been outspoken, telling a distinctly American story via craft, character, and concept, all backed by sonic ambition and social conscience. Founded in 1996 by singer/songwriter/guitarists Mike Cooley and Patterson Hood, the band have long held a progressive fire in their belly but with AMERICAN BAND, they have made the most explicitly political album in their extraordinary canon. A powerful and legitimately provocative work, hard edged and finely honed, the album is the sound of a truly American Band – a Southern American band – speaking on matters that matter. … More LIVE GEORGIA Music – The Tabernacle, also nicknamed The Tabby featuring the Drive-By Truckers formed in Athens, Georgia
